"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."

 -Pablo Picasso

(1881 - 1973)

On any given day you'll find me covered in bits of fabric, wood shavings, little bits of gold leaf, paint splotches, all topped off with a thin layer of sawdust. I couldn't tell you how many times I've glued my fingers together. Even worse glued myself to the table. Worser yet, glued my fingers to the piece I was working on. For every sawdust particle that finds it's way into my eye. For every time I answer the door with paint on my face and sawdust in my hair. For all of these things, I am grateful.

Lucky am I, who can take a piece of wood and shape it into a vision from my head. So in the end I can hold out my glue-covered hands and show you this thing I made, with joy, dreams, and maybe the teensiest bit of know-how.

"A single piece of art provides visual impact, and no one has elevated the bed as an art form more than miniature artisan June Clinkscales. Constructed of fine wood and sumptuous fabrics, June's bed's rival it's full-size counterparts in style and elegance."
